El Dakhleya FC utility player Saidou Simpore is optimistic of earning his first national team call-up sooner than later.
Simpore started playing as a striker then defender before RC Kadiago coach converted him to the midfield role which he’s currently enjoying with his Egyptian league outfit.
Since his change of role, the bullish midfielder has scored two vital goals and coach Alaa Abdelaal has fully praised his efforts.
“It is a pleasure and a dream for any player to wear national team colours for his country, but now i am for my club and i hope one day to have my chance and wear national team jersey,”he said.
Burkina Faso will be involved in a crucial last 2018 World Cup qualifier aganist Cape Verde though Senegal look favorites to qualify in that group.
Simpore knows that Burkinabes watch the Egypt Premier League and he’s determined to be consistent with his performance each week.
“I just hope somebody there is watching the Championship, I know they watch the Egyptian Premier League there. If I continue to do well, then if I get that call-up then I am ready to go and represent my country.”Simpore stated.
