Kenya’s Harambee Stars will commence quest for maiden FIFA World Cup appearance on Wednesday, October 7,2015 away to Mauritius in the preliminary rounds of the Russia 2018 qualifiers.
A communique from the Mauritius Football Association Secretary General Didier Gnanapragassa to FIFA Secretary General, Jerome Valcke, and copied to Football Kenya Federation CEO Michael Esakwa confirms the date.
“We kindly confirm that the said match will be played at the New George V Stadum in Curepipe,” the letter reads in part.
The match kicks off at 3PM local time. The return leg tie will be played a week later in Nairobi.
The winner from the two meets moves to the second round where Cape Verde awaits.
