Rwanda FA has confirmed the kick-off date for the new 2015/2016 National Football League season to be Friday September 18,2015.
This was revealed at a press conference by the Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) President Vincent Nzamwita held on Friday July 31,2015 at the body’s headquarters in Remera.
“The kick-off will officially be approved by the extra ordinary general assembly scheduled for August 29-30 in Huye,” Nzamwita was quoted by the FA’s website.
“In our new proposal, we want the league to be played on either Wednesday, Friday and weekend so as to be able to leave enough time for the national team to prepare for the 2016 Africa Nations Championship which will be held in Rwanda.” He concluded.
Army side APR FC is the defending league champions, they will represent Rwanda in next year’s CAF Champions league.
