Moi Stadium Kisumu will now host the two semi finals of the CECAFA senior challenge cup which begins tomorrow .
FKF President Nick Mwendwa confirmed the development that will see the lake side City host the two matches .
“We have been in discussions and agreed to have the two semifinal of Cecafa played in Kisumu. I can affirm that the two semifinals scheduled for 14 and 15 of December will be played in the county, Mwendwa said.”
There was a lot of pressure from fans who had threatened to boycot the matches after Kisumu which was ear marked to host the Group A matches was stripped off the hosting rights citing insecurity .
The matches will begin tomorrow with hosts Kenya taking on Rwanda in the opening match
