Three players in the Equatorial Guinea girl’s national soccer team that won Silver medal in the 2010 Youth Olympic Games that was hosted in Singapore in 2010 were ineligible, soka25east can reveal.
Sinforosa Eyang, Emiliana Nchama and Emiliana Mangue used forged and falsified documents to claim new names and dates of birth in-order to play in the summer Olympics, where their team lost in the finals to Chile through penalty shots.
This is against the completion rules that govern the Youth Olympic Games girls soccer tournament which states that players taking part must be below the age of 15 years.
Documents seen by our reporter shows clearly that Sinforosa Eyang who captained the team, altered her name to Judith Ndong so as to avoid any detection by the system as she was above 15 years.
Indeed, the once feared Waiso Ipola midfielder’s actual age at that time was 16 years as she was born on 26/4/ 1994.This is also supported by her bio-data available on FIFA portal which was uploaded during the 2007 World Cup qualifier match against South Africa and Women World Cup 2011.
The same case as Emiliana Mangue, who at the time of the Youth Olympics her actual age was 19 years but using the name of Felicidad Ovono she acquired passport that indicated she was 15 years. This was again to facilitate her fly his country’s flag in Singapore.
And for the former Waiso Ipola goalkeeper, Emiliana Nchama, she used the name Maria Angono in her fake passport as she was already above the age allowed for a player to participate in the tourney.
Nchama’s actual date of birth available on list of players that took part in the Africa Cup of Nations in 2012 in Malabo show she was born in 24/10/1986 and not 24/10/1995 as her second passport by the name of Angono shows.
Efforts to reach the Equatorial Guinea Federation (FEGUIFOOT) for a comment on the matter was unfruitful as calls made went unanswered.
The use of two passports with different birth dates and two birth certificates in the Equatorial Guinea Women football is not a new phenomenon and now it remains with Fifa to act and stop age fraud completely.
