The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has described the just ended 2017 Mopani Cosafa U-20 hosted on the Copperbelt in Zambia as one of the best tournaments the country has ever held.

FAZ Vice President in an interview with Soka25east.com says coming from the back drop of hosting a successful 2017 U-20 African Youth Championship, it is building up the country to host any tournament.

“I think every tournament goes with its own challenges but those challenges are what make us grow and give us an idea of how to overcome.

“Generally, we are very happy with the tournament and the performance of the U-20,” he said.

The 2017 Mopani U-20 Cosafa Championship concluded on Saturday with South Africa winning the crown for a sixth time beating Lesotho 2-1 in the final at Athur Davies Stadium.
