Tusker FC has confirmed dropping nine players as they restructure for the 2018 Kenyan Premier League season.
Further the Brewers have let go five players whose contracts come to a close end of this month.
Among the nine is former KPL Young Player of the Year George Mandela who joined them from relegated Muhoroni Youth.
Former AFC Leopards and Harambee Stars international winger Noah Wafula, Ugandan defender Martin Kizza, who was voted the club’s most valuable player last and veteran striker Clifford Alwanga.
Others are former KPL Midfielder of the Year Anthony Ndolo, Moses Ndawula, Victor Ndinya, Luis Tera and speedy winger Dunson Kago.
Skipper James Situma tops the list of those whose contracts will not be renewed, so is celebrated creative midfielder Humphrey Mieno veteran striker Allan Wanga and youngster Cercidy Okeyo.
Majority of the players were instrumental in Tusker’s 2016 KPL glory but could not replicate the same this year as Gor Mahia successfully managed to reclaim the title.

The Slum Boys have roped in defender Gilbert Osonga from Posta Rangers on a four-year-deal as their third signing of the transfer window.
Gilbert previously played for Zetech University and Young Rovers.
“He joins a department that has skipper George Owino, Andrew Juma and his former teammate at Rovers Lennox Ogutu,” the club said.
Meanwhile, champions Gor Mahia have commenced pre-season and today trained for the third time at Camp Toyoyo, Nairobi.
Among the players who were present in today’s session, under the watchful eyes of assistant coach Zedekiah Otiono, was Rwandan striker Jacques Tuyisenge.
K’Ogalo will be representing the country in next year’s African Champions League.
