Burkina Faso international Jonathan Pitroipa is on the verge of completing a switch to Great Old, with financial terms having now been agreed.
Pitroipa is to undergo a medical in Belgium as he prepares to sign a six-month contract with a one-year extension clause with Royal Antwerp, soka25east can confirm.
The 31-year-old midfielder has previously been training with Paris FC to regain full fitness, having come to the end of his contract with Al-Nasr Dubai SC.
Pitroipa has previously played in France where he turned for Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais in 2014. He joined the Brittany-based club in 2011 following spells with Freiburg and Hamburg, and was a defeated French League Cup finalist in 2013.
In recent years, he spent time with Al Jazira Club in Abu Dhabi, before moving onto Al-Nasr in the UAE Arabian Gulf League.
Pitroipa, an expert dribbler, has represented Burkina Faso at five Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, winning the Player of the Tournament award after helping the Stallions to the final in 2013
