Stoke City, West Brom and Sunderland have joined Nottingham Forest in the race for Aalesunds IK winger Edwin Gyasi.

The 26-year old Ghanaian has been in good form for the country making him earn many suitors from England.

Latest reports by Mail on Sunday indicate that,Sunderland and Nottingham Forest are both in serious talks looking to grab the player’s signature.

Stoke City are willing to pay the 26-year-old a higher salary than West Brom for the winger who is valued at £750,000, which is well within affordable range.

Nottingham and Sunderland are both keen to bolster their attacking options as they try to kick-start their respective seasons.

Sunderland find themselves short of options on the right hand side of midfield with Duncan Watmore out for the season and Callum McManaman failing to impress in the Championship since arriving on deadline day but maybe restrained by actions elsewhere in the market.

Gyasi has a year left on his contract in Norway and has made little secret of the fact he intends to make a move sooner rather than later.

Born and raised in Holland to Ghanaian parents, Gyasi made his international debut for Ghana last September and scored his first international goal against Egypt in November last year.
