10-man Rwanda and Namibia played to a 1-1 draw in a friendly match geared towards preparations for the 2018 CHAN at Jemmal Stadium, Morocco Sunday.

Rwanda grabbed the lead through Savio Nshuti on the stroke of half time following a lovely interchange of play with namesake Nshuti Innocent.

The Amavubi carried the slip 1-0 lead into the breather.

Namibia responded in the second half through substitute Itamunua Keimune, who capitalized on defensive miscommunication to draw level in the 57th minute.

Rwanda’s skipper Amran Nshimiyimana was sent off for second bookable offense in the 74th minute as they finished the match 10-men.

Rwanda’s first friendly yesterday against Sudan aborted in the 40th after the game degenerated into a fist fight following a rough tackle on one of the latter’s player.

CHAN begins Friday in Morocco and will run until 4 February. The continental championship is reserved for home-based professionals.
