Kenyan Premier League giants AFC Leopards have roped in former Asante Kotoko Ghanaian striker Eric Bekoe on a two-year-deal.

Bekoe, 30, arrived in the country Thursday morning to seal the contract which keeps him with domestic winners till end of 2019.

He becomes the club’s fifth foreign signing. KPL’s foreign quota rule allows a maximum of five non Kenyan players per club.

The former Liberty Professionals goal poacher was the toast of Kotoko when they lifted Ghana Premier League title in 2008 – emerging the league’s top scorer.

A move to Egyptian Premier League with Petrojet followed but did not turnout as expected as he struggled with injuries that hindered his growth.

Bekoe returned home to play for Sekondi Hasscas during the 2016 season.

Leopards offer him a chance to bounce back. He will be expected to lead the team’s attack in the league, in defense of their domestic cup and in the CAF Confederations Cup.
