Harambee Stars head coach Bobby Williamson turn to the old boys for
help as he names 17 foreign based professional in his provisional
list to starts preparations for African Cup of Nations (AFCON-2017)
qualifier against Zambia on Sunday 6 September.
Former skipper Dennis Oliech return to the national team after a
lengthy absence earning his a first ever call up in Williamson’s team
after missing from the national team since falling out with former
coach Adel Amrouche.
Another inclusion is the ever green Mildfield McDonald Mariga who
played for demoted Italian side Parma fc while there is also a call
up for Malaysia based defender Lawrence Olum who last featured under
Amrouche.
As expected team captin Victor Wanyama makes the team as while as
unattached Paul Were and David Ochieng also included.
The list of names was published in a Federation (FKF) portal and
which was send to player’s club so as to faciliate their release in
time to facilitate early preparation ahead of the match set to be
played at Nairobi on 6 September. .
