Immediate former Gor Mahia skipper Musa Mohammed and midfielder Kenneth Muguna have completed moves to Albanian second division side KF Tirana.
Musa, who was a free agent, signed two and a half-year-deal while Muguna, who was bought for undisclosed amount, inked four and a half-year-contract.
The duo linked up with the team’s training in Antalya, Turkey today.
“The defender from Kenya arrived yesterday in Antalya to initially sign the contract. He immediately joined training with the rest of the team,” the club said.
Musa, 26, signed for Gor Mahia straight from high school – spending his entire senior career in the Kenyan Premier League with the reigning Kenyan champions.
He remains one of the most decorated Kenyan players with four league titles plus numerous other honors including the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup, which he won last year with the national team Harambee Stars as captain.
“New challenge! And hoping for the best God willing,” Musa posted on Facebook.
Having been crowned the KPL 2016 most valuable player, Muguna joined Gor on a four-year-deal, making him the league’s most expensive signing.
He lived up to his price tag by helping the club win three titles in 2017 including reclaiming the league title from Tusker.
Muguna and Musa has been the target of former Gor Brazilian coach Ze Maria, who left the club for Tirana mid this year. His attempt to bring them on board last year failed as Gor refused to negotiate.
However, they could not hold on longer after the end of the season with the players also expressing desire to move abroad.
