Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omndurman are expected to tour Kenya starting 2nd February 2018 for a series of warm-ups against the country’s top sides.

The 26-times Sudan Premier League champions will play Kenyan champions Gor Mahia on 6th February 2018 at Machakos’ Kenyatta Stadium, according to Gor’s deputy secretary general Ronald Ngala.

“Al Hilal wrote to us requesting for a friendly. This was initially planned for 31st January but the trip was delayed,” Ngala was told Soka25east.

“We will now play them on 6th February before they travel to Liberia for their African Champions League preliminary round match,” Ngala added.

But before they face K’Ogalo, the Blues will gauge themselves against another Kenyan giant AFC Leopards in a friendly on 4th February.

The coach Sergio Farias side will then depart for Monrovia, Liberia on 7th February ahead of their African Champions League preliminary round match against LISCR FC that weekend.

In January 2016, Gor played a friendly against Al Hilal in Port Sudan – winning 1-0 through Enock Agwanda’s 47th minute goal.

Gor are also preparing for the African Champions and will be playing Equatorial Guinea’s Leones Vegetarianos in the initial phase of the tournament.

The team has already played one international friendly against visiting Ugandan champions KCCA – winning 4-2.

The 16-times Kenyan champions won their first trophy of the season after beating their arch rivals AFC Leopards 1-0 in the KPL Super Cup yesterday at Afraha Stadium, Nakuru.

Leopards will represent Kenya in the second rate CAF Confederations Cup. They also played KCCA and won 2-1.
