Senegal have lined up a friendly with Uzbekistan in March as part of their 2018  World Cup preparations.

The friendly between the two nations will take place at undecided venue in Morocco on March 23.

The new development comes after eagerly awaited friendly match between Lions of Teranga and another Central Asia nation, Azerbaijan, which was scheduled for 27 March was cancelled due to “logistical challenges”.

Instead, Lions of Teranga will play Bosnia and Herzegovina on that date in France.

Senegalese football officials are also said to be in advanced talks with Croatia and Estonia for friendly dates in June ahead of the tournament in Russia.

The West Africans are in World Cup Group H where they will face Poland, Colombia and Japan in Russia.

Senegal will begin their World Cup Group H campaign against Poland on 19 June in Moscow before they play Japan on 24 June and then Colombia four days later.
