Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak have suspended coach Frank Nuttall indefinitely for “unsporting” and “unethical” behaviors.
The decision was taken during the club’s emergency board meeting Monday, at which the Scotsman “admitted” to the misdeeds considered by the board as “detrimental” to the club.
A three-man committee consisting board members has constituted to investigate all matters relating to the coach’s suspension and report back by 16th February 2018.
According to close sources, Nuttall’s “diction” towards club’s management and his relationship with other technical team members and players, as well as flouting the number of days given to him for holidays in his native country in the past resulted into the decision taken by the club’s top hierarchy.
Meanwhile, coach Henry Lamptey Wellington has been asked to take charge of the team’s trainings until further notice.
The club has urged for continued support and corporation of all stakeholders during the period.
Nuttall joined the club last season and managed a third place finish in the Ghanaian Premier League.
He bagged Ghana’s independence cup against arch rivals Asante Kotoko and finished runners-up in the domestic cup in the same season.
Nuttall, 48, previously coached Kenyan giants Gor Mahia – guiding them to 2015 Kenyan Premier League glory unbeaten before moving to Egypt’s Zamalek as an assistant coach.
His departure from Gor amidst fans protests was also marked with allegations of gross misconduct and uneasy relationship with the president.
