Ugandan Cranes keeper Benjamin Ochan says he is looking forward to a new challenge as he prepares to start a stage in his career with Zambian Super League side Kabwe Warriors.
In an interview from his base in Kabwe, Ochan told soka25east.com that every player always looks for new challenges in their career.
“It’s a pleasure coming to Zambia and more so to a new country and trying to live a different kind of life.
“Football sometimes demands that a player moves out. I believe that coming here is a new experience for me. I have come to learn, try and blend in with Zambian Football and try experience a new culture,” Said Ochan
The 28 year old former Kampala Capital City Authority goalkeeper who has penned a three year contract with the Kabwe based outfit was part of the Ugandan Cranes team at the 2018 Total African Nations Championship in Morocco.
“It was a good experience for me unfortunately it wasn’t a good run for us but that’s Football. Sometimes things work out sometimes they don’t,” He adds.
Kabwe Warriors sold their young goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga, midfielder Lameck Kafwaya to Power Dynamos and captain Moonga Chilimba to Green Buffaloes.
The Kabwe based outfit has not wasted time to replace the players with the capture of KCCA keeper Benjamin Ochan, Buildcon striker Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba, Heritier Nkonko from Zanaco FC and Musinde Fred from Napsa Stars.
Other players that have joined are Nisa Mphande from Roan United and Nelson Tembo from Konkola Blades.
