Cameroon Elite One League club Coton Sport FC have parted ways with head coach Minkreo Birwe following a string of uninspiring results.
The termination of the contract is with immediate effect and follows a meeting held on Monday between club chairman Pierre Kapténé,club manager along with the coach’s agent.
“It was agreed to part ways with immediate effect following poor results from last season…,” read the statement.
“The Club would like to take this opportunity to thank the Coach for his services during his tenure at Coton Sport and to wish him all the best for his future endeavors.”
The Garoua based club have announced Oussoumanou Christophe as temporary replacement to steer the ship as they shop for a new coach.
The former Cameroon champions are having a nightmare since the start of new season.So far they have collected five points in their last four league matches.
