Two young Ugandan footballers will arrive in Cameroon this evening to undergo a two-week trial with African football giants Coton Sport.

Coton Sport’s new coach Oussoumanou Christophe is seeking to augment his squad with talented players and has invited two players from Kampala to be observed.

Fahad Bardiro and Noah Ssemakula from the Uganda Premier League sides Police FC and Express FC are expected to arrive in the West African country this evening to start the trial.

The former Cameroon Elite One champions are seeking to cause a massive surprise in the league after a going for four matches without a win.

Coton Sport have stated their intention of acquiring top stars from within and outside Cameroon to challenge other traditional football powers in the Elite One for top honors.

“The management was very happy with the team this year despite our early elimination in the CAF Champions League,” a Coton Sport official, who did not wish to be named, said.

“The fact that the team has been ‘improving in performance of recent’ has convinced them that with more support, the team can do even better.

“We have contacted two players as well as a goalkeeper trainer from Mali and they should arrive for trials this Wednesday.”

Coton Sport have already revealed their hand in the quest of the title after replacing veteran coach Minkreo Birwe following a poor start of the season.
