First round First Leg encounters
Sixteen encounters were played across the continent in the CAF Champions League on Tuesday and Wednesday of the 6th to 7th March 2016.

Take note that the 16 winners of the first round will advance to the group stage, while the 16 losers of the the same round will enter into the Confederation Cup play-off round. The teams that will drop from the Champions League with start at home in Confederation Cup Presence Group Stage in that first leg and end up away in the second leg.

MC Alger will keep the hope with an away goal scored in Nigeria. They will qualify with a 1-0 victory in Algeria
Horoya 2-1 Génération Foot
Generation Foot will keep the hope with an away goal scored in Nigeria. They will qualify with a 1-0 victory in Senegal
Young Africans 1-2 Township Rollers
Very positive result for the Botswana outfit away in Tanzania. Even a 1-0 loss at home will see them through.
Gor Mahia 0-0 Espérance de Tunis

2 important away goals for Plateau United and a 2-0 victory at home will see them through but any goal scored by the Tunisian side makes more effort needed.

The Togo outfit will be pleased that they have a clean sheet from this leg. Any goal they score away in Sudan is crucial
ZESCO United 1-0 ASEC Mimosas
A very good away goal for Asec and Zesco United has no choice but to win away. 1-0 will equal the result and force the game to extra time. any other win result cancels the extra time.
TP Mazembe 4-0 UD Songo
No team has come from this defeat to upset the table. TP Mazembe looks good to progress to the group stage.
