Kenya Premier league side Sony Sugar have on interim appointed former player Sylvester Wanyama as the head coach
Soka25east can confirm that the appointment was made after the club lost to fellow millers Nzoia Sugar 1-0 at the Sudi Stadium.
Sony Chairman Gabriel Otiende had given coach Salim Babu an ultimatum and Nzoia’s loss decided the fate of the former Sony Sugar player .
Wanyama is the elder brother to Kenyan international Victor Wanyama who plays for Tottenham
According to Otiende ,Wanyama’s appointment was merited in the fact that he has been in the club for long and his experience will be key .
Wanyama will be assisted by another veteran Marwa Chamberi .
Earlier last week ,the management parted ways with Charles Omondi Korea
Sony is in the 15th position with seven points from eight matches just above the relegation zone .
Wanyama’s first assigment will be against in form Kariobangi Sharks at their Awendo home
