News coming out of Nakumatt FC is that they are set to announce Francis Mureithi as their new owner.
It was previously reported that due to the KPL side being cash-strapped, their previous owners Nakumatt Holdings were looking to sell the club.
Nonetheless, a source close to the club has confirmed that they are expected to announce the new owner and management team soon after the Kenya Premier League approves the sale of the club.
“There is lot that has been happening behind the scenes. Mureithi is an ambitious businessman and has great plans for the club,” said the source.
Mureithi, businessman-cum-politician who contested for the Embakasi East parliamentary seat in the 2017 general elections, is coming with a new vision aimed at making Ndovu amongst the top teams in the country.
“The club is set to announce a lot of changes during the press conference next week,”the source added.
The club has been struggling to stay afloat and it is estimated the new owner will stump up Ksh 20 million to cover them.
Soka25east tried to get hold of Mureithi but he did not answer calls.
