Tanzania senior soccer team Taifa Stars will depart Dar Es Salaam on Saturday, August 22 for Muscat Oman for an international friendly match against the host.
The match will be played on Monday 24, and thereafter the team will connect to Istanbul Turkey for a one week training camp.
While in Turkey, the team will play two more build up matches against Kuwait and Libya.
Oman’s Coach, Frenchman Paul Leguen, requested for the build up match, as he prepares his side for FIFA World Cup qualifier match against Turkemebistan next month.
Stars Coach Charles Benjamin Mkwasa will name his squad of 22 players for the trip before the end of the week.
Tanzania hosts Super Eagles of Nigeria in their second AFCON-2017 qualifier match on Saturday, September 5, at the National Stadium, Dar Es Salaam.
They fell 3-0 to Egypt in the opening match of the group, while Nigeria beat neighbors CHAD 2-0.
