Thika united has entrusted Moses Irungu, to turn around the fortunes
at Thika United after the club part ways with Tim Bryett, he has
rally to his players to up their performance so as avoid further
poor result that saw his predecessor forced to resign from the club
last weekend.
Moses Irungu, who served as Tim Bryett’s assistant was confirmed to
the top post with immediate effect as indicated on the club’s official
website.
“The task ahead is not an easy one but I know if we all chip in and
play our roles to our best we can overcome our setbacks,” said Irungu
after he was confirmed as the head of the struggling Thika side.
Ushuru test
Irungu’s first assignment as head coach will be to lead the team
against Ushuru FC on Sunday 23 August and will be hoping to fashion a
first win since the 1 – 0 victory over AFC Leopards at the start of
the second leg. Ken Kenyatta’s side beat Mathare United 3-1 on the
weekend that Thika suffered their 7th loss on the trot after a 2-1
defeat against 10-man Bandari.
Irungu had served as John Kamau’s deputy before the tactician left at
the start of the 2015 season, to take over at Posta Rangers. Sources
say that Bryett was forced to resign due to recent poor results.
