AS Togo Port midfielder Issifou Bourahana is confident his side has what it takes to beat Horoya AC in the CAF Champions League Group C match this Saturday.
The Dockers will be hoping for a positive result in their group opener against Guinean football giants, who are best remembered for their triumph back in 1978 when they won Africa Cup Winners Cup, now known as CAF Confederations Cup.
Bourahana will be hoping his side can carry their domestic league form against one of top sides in Africa football, declaring they are ready and determined to take on Yenke Calude’s side and grab maximum points at home.
“We will make every effort to do our best to offer pleasure to the Togolese people although we are novices at this level of competition,” said Bourahana as translated from French.
Port became the first Togolese side to make the group phase of Africa’s elite club competition, knocking out Sudan’s Al Hilal on away-goals an achievement that makes their coach Yenke Claude proud.

Speaking during the pre-match conference yesterday, Claude was again in his usual bullish mood stating that his boys are ready to carry their nation flag high.
“This is a great first for a Togolese club, our responsibility is heavy, and we need to restore the image of a local football that has gone through a long time. My players are well aware of their mission,”said Claude.
The other game of the day in Group C will be a showdown between 2016 African Champion Mamelodi Sundowns and their successors in 2017, the Wydad Athletic Club of Casablanca.
