MOSCOW/ZURICH: The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has imposed the following sanctions:

  • CHF 10,000 fine and warning to the Football Union of Russia for the display of a discriminatory banner.
  • CHF 20,000 fine and warning to the Football Association of Serbia for the display of a political and offensive banner.
  • CHF 15,000 fine and warning to the Mexican Football Federation for crowd disturbance by Mexican supporters who threw objects during the match between Mexico and Sweden.
  • CHF 65,000 fine and warning to the Moroccan Football Association for the following incidents in the match between Spain and Morocco: six members of the technical staff forced their way into the pitch after the final whistle; 13 officials were present in the technical area (the maximum allowed is 11); crowd disturbance by Moroccan fans who threw objects during the match.

Additionally, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee has sent the following warnings:

  • Egyptian Football Association due to the breach of the Media and Marketing Regulations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ for not ensuring the presence of Mohammed Salah in the press conference following the match between Saudi Arabia and Egypt (despite Mohammed Salah being elected as the Man of the Match).
  • Moroccan player Noureddine Amrabat for displaying an offensive behaviour following the match between Spain and Morocco.
  • President of the Moroccan Football Association, Fouzi Lekjaa, for staying in the technical area before the final whistle of the match between Spain and Morocco.
  • Assistant coach of the Moroccan national team, Patrice Beaumelle, for improper behavior following the match between Spain and Morocco,
  • Football Association of Serbia for incidents involving Serbian fans in the match between Serbia and Brazil.
  • Brazil Football Association for incidents involving Brazilian fans in the match between Serbia and Brazil.
  • Spanish Football Association due to the breach of the Media and Marketing Regulations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ for the use of unauthorised branded items by several players.

Furthermore, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee has opened proceedings against the Swiss Football Association following the attitude of certain Swiss officials who forced their access to the field of play despite not having the proper accreditation
