Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Michelle Katsvairo has returned to Zimbabwe and signed with Caps United on a one and half year deal in the Castle Zimbabwean Premier League, after spending several months searching for a club.
Katsvairo joined Chiefs in July 2016 along with compatriot Edmore Chirambadare, but failed to impress for the Soweto giants and was loaned to Tanzanian side Singida Fc last season.
However his spell in East Africa was cut short and he was handed his clearance by Amakhosi last season following a meeting with Kaizer Chiefs football Manager Bobby Motaung
The Zimbabwean was supposed to spend the whole of last season at Tanzanian side Singida Fc however Katsvairo asked to be released due to limited game time.He was largely used to provide cover for Rwandan striker Danny Usengimana.
He was released alongside three other Zimbabweans during the Tanzanian mid season transfer window run from November 15 to December 15
Katsvairo once tried his luck at a Botswana club Township Rollers. He featured in Rollers pre-season friendly matches and was reportedly on the verge of joining the team. However Caps United confirmed the signing of the player.
