Kenyan International Michael Olunga has joined Japanese top tier side Kashiwa Reysol from Chinese side Guizhou Zhicheng in a three year deal www.soka25east.com has confirmed.

The highly-rated forward who has been in China since his loan deal with Spanish top-tier side Girona lapsed passed his medicals at Kashowa Reysol and will be the second most expensive Kenyan player with a pay of $150,000 or ksh 15 million minus bonuses.
An elated Olunga posted on his instagram account his photo a the Hitachi Kashiwa Soccer Stadium saying “New Roads,New Rivers,New Chapter beginning of another unfolded story at Kashiwa Reysol”.
Kashiwa Reysol are currently 13th on the 18-team J1 League with 23 points from 20 matches. They next face 12th-placed Vegalta Sendai on Saturday 11th August at their Sankyo Frontier Stadium in the city of Kashiwa.
Michael Olunga joins the big name stars plying their trade in the J-League the likes of Andreas Iniesta, Lukas Podolski and Fernando Torres, who have moved to Japan from Barcelona, Galatasaray and Atletico Madrid in Europe respectively.
Olunga also known as the Engineer made his name at Gor Mahia in 2015, has been on the fringes of the Zhicheng first team which he joined in a record Sh450 million deal from Sweden top flight side IF Djurgardens in 2016.
Olunga has previously played for Thika United, Tusker FC and Gor Mahia in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) before moving to Djurgaden IF in Sweden to kick start his professional football career.
