Kaizer Chiefs are considering taking a look at Gor Mahia hardworking defender Godfrey Walusimbi.
The Buccaneers were heavily linked with the Ugandan left back last year following Milutin Sredojevic appointment at the club however the move never materialised at the player remained with Gor Mahia in Kenya.
However the Soweto giants reported interest in the player seems to have cooled off over the last twelve months.
The 29 year old made his National team debut in the 2012 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier against Angola as a replacement for the injured Nestroy Kizito.
Recent reports have indicated that Kaizer Chiefs are now looking to snap up the highly rated defender.
Amakhosi parted ways with experienced left back Tshepo Masilela and Gordinho who joined PSL club Bloemfontein Celtic at the end of last season.
K’Ogalo are said to be unhappy with what they refered to as tapping of Walusimbi who joined the Nairobi based club from Ugandan side SC Villa in December 2013 where coached by former Uganda Cranes coach Bobby Williamson
Soka25east.com understand that Kaizer Chiefs have already sent an invitation to the defender who is in Kenya at the moment .
If Walusimbi signs with Kaizer Chiefs, the defender will join his compatriots Allan Kateregga,( Cape Town City)and Dennis Onyango( Sundowns) who both ply their trade in the Absa Premiership League
