The indomitable Lions of Cameroon haven training in Nairobi, Kenya ahead of the 2019 Total African Cup of Nations qualification, AFCON, match against the Comoros Island on September 8, 2018.

The training session is the first for the recently called-up 23-man squad under the newly appointed head coach of the lions, Clarence Seedorf and Patrick Cluivert.

According to reports, the lions started training on September 4 after regrouping on September 3. Twenty-two of the twenty-three are already in camp and will undergo a four-day trading session before their clash next Saturday. The Tuesday session at the Kasarani Stadium was done in the morning and in the afternoon.

Those who have not been able to make to Kenya because of injury and administrative related procedures have been replaced.

The Indomitable lions are camping after the President of the Normalization Committee of Cameroon, Barrister Duiedonne Happi completed the appointment of 18 staffs in the team’s technical bench. However, reports indicate that the coach was already complaining of not knowing the other officials of the team that have been appointed.

Cameroon, reigning champions are presently topping Group B with three points after a 1-0 win over Morocco in 2017 in the first leg of the first round of the qualifiers in Yaounde. Malawi is second after beating Comoros Island by 1-0.

Players who were key members of the team that won the 2017 Total AFCON title in Gabon, Captain Benjamin Moukandjo, Christain Bassogog are out with Seedorf sensationally insinuating that players who choose money over career development will have no place in the team.
