The formal captain of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Samuel Eto’o who signed for Qatar Sports Club recently has scored his first goal of the season.
Samuel Eto’o, 37-year old scored his first goal during a Cup match against Al Gharafa, staged on September 8, 2018 at the Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium.
The prolific striker opened scores at the 35 minutes, but his club could not resist their opponent who equalized at the 89th minutes to make 1-1 after regular time.
Before their clashed in the cup match, the two teams had made on August 4, 2018 during a league game and it was Qatar Sport Club that emerged victorious on a score of 3-1.
After 24 matches between the two teams, Qatar Sport Club has recorded nine victories as against 8 for Al Gharafa FC and seven draws.
With six teams in Group A of the league Cup, AL Gharafa is third with a point, same point with Qatar FC at the fourth position. Lekhwiya FC is toping the group with 3 points followed by Umm Salal FC with three points also.
In the championship, Eto’os team Qatar FC, is currently occupying the 9th position with three points after registering only three draws and one lost. They were beaten by Al-Duhail FC Qatar FC 3-2 during the 4th playing day on September 2, 2018
The best goal scorer of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon is playing for the 14 club in his football career after sailing through Europe and Asia.
Samuel Eto’o is having three European Champions League trophies to his credit along side two African Cup of Nations and three African player of the year.
