Tanzania Coach Charles Benjamin Mkwasa has declared his side’s readiness for Nigeria test in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier this weekend.
Taifa Stars has been horning their skills in Turkey for the past one week under the watchful eyes of Mkwasa, where they played a high profile friendly against Libya on Friday 21 as part of preparations for the qualifier slated for Saturday, September 5 at the National Stadium, Dar Es Salaam.
“The training has helped build their stamina. The team can now maintain high tempo play for long and press forward as a unit while striking, which is a good sign as we plan for Nigeria.” He told tff.or.tz
The tactician has praised the Turkey camp saying it has given them conducive environment to fully implement their training program in both physical and technical aspects as well as bringing cohesion in the whole team.
Stars will have one more training session on Monday 31, before breaking camp on Tuesday to head back to Tanzania.
