Nigeria Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo made his sixth La Liga appearances for Leganes who defeated Deportivo Alaves 1-0 in a Spanish La Liga game on Friday.
Omeruo who played both of Nigeria’s matches during the International break played all 90 minutes for Leaned on Friday night. It is rumored that the Spanish outfit are on the verge of signing him on a permanent deal.
It was Leganes first clean sheet of the season in four games and their first win in last four games with two draws a defeat and a win.
Omeruo is currently on a season loan deal from Chelsea after spending the last five years on loan at Ado Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasimpasa twice and Alanyaspor.
Elsewhere Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru fired blanks on his return to Galatasaray’s starting line-up in Friday’s 1-1 home draw against Konyaspor in a Turkish Super League
The 21-year-old petit star who made two cameo appearances for the Super Eagles during the international break against South Africa in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Johannesburg and in an international friendly against Uganda in Asaba, Delta State starred for the entire duration of the encounter.
Onyekuru has scored four goals in 11 Turkish Super Lig appearances and has scored four times.
In Ukraine, Olanrewaju Kayode was subbed on for Alan Patrick in the 86th minute of Shakhtar Donetsk goalless at home to FC Lviv.
It was his fourth substitute appearance this season.
Kayode has made five league appearances this season and has failed to score.
He joined Shakhtar Donetsk from Manchester City on a five-deal last summer.
