Mtibwa sugar Ugandan attacking midfielder Ayub Isiko has been discharged from the hospital where he has been hospitalized for the last 23 days following a motor accident that nearly claimed his life. The 2011/12 Ugandan super league second top scorer with 12 goals Ayub Isiko was hospitalized at the end of last month after his right arm had to be amputed following a car accident that occurred while on his way to watch a friendly match between his village team Amazon and Bwondha in Mayuge district, Eastern Uganda. Paramedics at Mulago were unable to soothe him bit instead determined that an amputation was necessary and after the ampution, he was transferred to Nakavule Hospital in Iganga District where he was discharged yesterday.’’ I am now feeling okay than before because I feel little pain at a moment. I would like to thank all relatives and friends for the good job done since i was hospitalized. It’s a pity that I will never play football again but instead a fan,’’ the 26 year old told our reporter who paid a visit at him at his home in Iganga. ‘’When I came out of Coma, I could not believe that my right arm had been taken to the bin but thank God that the accident did not claim my life,’’ added the left footed midfielder, whose wound has to be dressed every after 72 hours. A day after the 29th of January( fateful day ), the attacking was meant to join SCVU on Ush30M deal on Thurday (30th) from Tanzania mainland club Mtibwa Sugar where his contract had only two months running. The sports fraternity in Eastern Uganda have organized a fundraising function on the 1st of next month for the former Iganga MC, Hoima Busia, Bidco and Mtibwa Sugar attacking midfielder who was donning jersey number 12 at Mtibwa sugar where he has been playing.
