The CAF Confederation cup first round, leg 1 of 2 hold this weekend, with matches across various centers. It’s the stage that usher in the group stage phase.
In Kampala City, this weekend, KCCA FC host Mtibwa sugars ports club who have participated in the continent for a longtime before returning Sir this year.
Following the arrival of the Tanzanian Club, at Entebbe International Airport yesterday, the Club Director Jamal Karibu, was pleased with the welcome from Kampala city officials and spoke about what their aim is ahead of the game.
“First of all, we appreciate that we were received well here by the KCCA officials, and we have respect for KCCA, because they’re a good team, experienced as well, as they have been participating in this competition for many years”.
“We came here to try to win, we know it will be a tough match, but we’re trying to put all our efforts that we win the match”.
” We(Mtibwa Sugar) the last time we participated in this competition was in 2003, many years has passed, and now we’re participating again, which is a good one for us, and we’re looking forward to go further ahead” Jamal said.
The game comes up on Saturday afternoon, as both teams battle it out for a Group stage phase
