The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has announced that the German government and Botswana government have officially signed a memorandum of understanding.
The memorandum of understanding will see the BFA gain technical assistance that will allow the opportunity to for a highly skilled technical expect to come and assist Botswana with its current development program.
The BFA released the following statement:
“The German Federal Foreign Office has expressed its support for Botswana Football development plan engaging in a long-term football project in Botswana. The German expect is expected to arrive in Botswana at the end of February this year and will then be presented to the media.”
“The German technical expect will assist the association to cover education, talent identification and retention as well as other technical projects at BFA. The project is expected to take 2 years with an option to increase with a further two years.”
“The BFA would like to thank the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport & Culture Development and Botswana National Olympic Committee for the support in facilitation, for this project to come to Botswana,” a statement read.
