Cameroon Football Federation(Fecafoot) have failed to reach an agreement with their official kit Sponsor Puma on renewal of their deal after intensive negotiations.
FECAFOOT President Seidou Mbombo Njoya announced via his twitter handle explaining the new developments.
The newly elected President travelled to the Puma headquarters in France but they failed to reach a conclusion.
“I was in the Puma headquarters in France for negotiations but we failed to reach and agreement therefore FECAFOOT remains open to discussions with other companies to get our next kit supplier and sponsor”Seidou Mbombo Njoya said .
German Sportwear have been Cameroon’s brand supply marchday and training kit supplier to all Cameroon’s national football teams.
The long-running 22 year partnership has already seen the Indomitable Lions sport the first ever sleeveless football jersey, the first all-in-one kit, and the Puma Africa Unity Kit, which they used as a third strip in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, along with Ghana, Ivory Coast and Algeria. Sales of the Unity Kit raised money for biodiversity causes in Africa in collaboration with the United Nations Environmental Programme.
Puma had hoped for a smooth continuation the partnership with the Cameroon Football Federation as one of their key partners in the World of football.
