Renaissance de Berkane midfielder Abdessamad El-Moubarki said on Wednesday that his side will be looking for a comfortable win against Zamalek in the first leg of the Confederation Cup final at home to make their mission easier in the second leg in Alexandria.
The Moroccan side will host Zamalek in the first leg at home on Sunday before heading to Alexandria to play the second leg one week later.
“We will be looking for a big win at home to make our mission easier in the second leg,” El Moubarki told Moroccan newspaper Morocco today on Wednesday.
“We know that Zamalek is a very good team, especially when they play at home, so we have to finish the matter in Morocco.”
The midfielder admitted that the game will be very tough but insisted that his side is ready for all challenges.
“The game will be tough. Zamalek have a big name in the continent but we are determined to win the title and we are ready for all challenges.”
Renaissance de Berkane reached their first ever continental final after defeating Club Sfaxien of Tunisia 3-2 on aggregate in the semis earlier this month.
