Defending Champions Cameroon and Ghana played out to a goalless draw in the second Group F clash of The Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Egypt 2019 in Ismailia on Saturday.
It was match which was tagged the clash of the Titans and it did live up to its billing with end to end action.
Ghana were moving the ball a bit quicker but it was Cameroon who sat back waiting for Ghana to make the mistakes. Clinton Njie was a bit of a Nuisance at some point coming close with an effort but to no effect.
Richard Ofori was in perfect form as he kept out Christian Bassogog from close range just before the break.
Andre Ayew had recovered from that ankle knock he sustained in the 2-2 draw against Benin and just in time to partner his brother in attack.
Thomas Agyepong was missing due to a thigh injury he suffered during the same opening game against the Squirrels of Benin.
Kwabena Owusu who had come on for Andre Ayew went agonizingly close to sealing all three points but his effort from 25 yards out hit the cross bar.
Kwado Asamoah would be withdrawn in the second half for the veteran striker Asamoah Gyan but still could not impact on the game.
Clarence Seedorf was happy to take a point from this gigantic tie as his team still remains in total control of the group with 4 points.
Ghana and Benin have two points each while Guinea-Bissau remain bottom with a point.
The Black Stars have to beat Guinea Bissau on Tuesday to be certain of a place in the next round.
