Guinea Bissau are getting ready to face the wrath of Ghana when the two teams meet at New Suez Stadium on Tuesday in their third group F game.
Ghana’s performance at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations has been average to say the least and expectations will be high with only two draws and two points.
Guinea-Bissau’s maiden appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations has not gone well either. The Djurtus have failed to score any goal in the tournament but they managed a draw against Benin to secure their first point.
Head to Head
This will be the first ever meeting between the two sides at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Key Players
Head coach Baciro Kande will be hoping his players dig deep and upset the odds against an experienced Ghana side. José Luis Mendes Lopes (Zezinho) and Toni Silva will be the players to watch in this Guinea-Bissau team.
Kwesi Appiah saw his side collapse from winning position in their 2-2 draw against Benin followed by a goalless draw against Cameroon. He will be definitely counting on the Ayew brothers to deliver a positive result this time around.
Permutations
All the teams in Group F have a chance qualify for the next round. Ghana are in second place with two points, while Guinea Bissau are in the bottom with just one.
