Kabwe Warriors appoints South African Justin Palmer as Club CEO

Kabwe Warriors, a club in the Zambian Super League, announced
that they have appointed Justin Palmer as the club’s General Manager. As a part of the management changes previous Club Manager, Keith Chuchu Mwanabaleya, has been appointed to the Executive Committee.

Justin Palmer, a South African national, has been tasked with bringing Kabwe Warriors into line with FAZ and CAF regulations on Club Licensing. Additionally an internal strategy is under development to bring continental football back to Kabwe.

Palmer has praised the club’s Executive Committee, Administration and key sponsor Zambia Railways, for delivering a period of stability to Kabwe Warriors.

Additionally he has recognised the performance of the players and Tenant Chilumba and the Technical Team for their strong campaign in the Transitional League.

Looking to the future Palmer has said; “Kabwe Warriors is a sleeping giant of Zambian football. It is a privilege to be a part of leading this magnificent club toward a planned return to former glories.”

With reference to his objectives, Palmer is quoted as saying: “Looking to the future we have identified three key objectives. Firstly we will look to make this club fiscally sustainable, and an attractive prospect for new sponsorship and investment.

Secondly a resilience in the transfer market to ensure that we retain our best players, and achieve appropriate fees for those we chose to move on. Finally young Zambian talent must be identified and developed through our Youth Teams for the benefit of both
Kabwe Warriors and the Zambian National Team.”
