By Robert Matakanye,
Mamelodi Sundowns have parted ways with former kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Lebese.
Lebese has for quite some time been linked with a move away from the Chloorkop-based club, after being unable to find his feet at Sundowns since joining the club in 2017 from Chiefs.
However, Sundowns has finally come to an end, with the club opting to release the 30-year-old from his contract in the final hours of the transfer window.
Lebese will now be free to put pen to paper with any interested suitor as a free agent and will not be bound by the closure of the transfer window at midnight.
Soka25east.com has now been informed that the Mamelodi born player could be on his way to join Owen da Gama’s Highlands Park.
