Under-17 Women National Team coach Kangwa Kaluba says his lasses are highly motivated by the prospect of FIFA World Cup qualification.
In an interview, Kaluba whose team minted bronze at the 2019 Cosafa Women Championship in Mauritius said the girls would not be under pressure to replicate the 2014 FIFA World Cup feat by their counterparts but would fight to write their own story.
“We are not under pressure to replicate the 2014 achievement. This is a new project and every project has its own target,” he said.
Kaluba said the team was focused on getting over the South Africa challenge that lay ahead on February 28.
“South Africa is very beatable so we are preparing our girls to give their best during that assignment,” he said.
Zambia will host South Africa next Friday before the March 14 away fixture in the India 2020 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
