Kaizer Chiefs’ last 16 clash with Highlands Park in the Nedbank cup has been sold out. This is how big this game is for both sides.
The match will take place at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa this coming Saturday at 15:00 CAT.
Chiefs defeated Royal Eagles in the last 32 and face Highlands Park for a third time this season, having overcome them in home and away league clashes.
Amakhosi’s last trip to the Makhulong Stadium earlier in the season ended in a 3-2 league win on the 4th August last year in Chiefs’ opening league game of the 2019-20 season. The last clash between the sides was a league game on 8 January and Amakhosi won 3-0.
Chiefs’ star Lebogang Manyama has described the match as a real test for his side.
“This will be a very tough game, the last time we went to tembisa we came out with a good result but we knew we had to fight for it. It’s gonna be the same, ” Manyama said.
Kaizer Chiefs who are bidding for a 14th Nedbank Cup title are urging fans without tickets to not make their way to the stadium.
“Fans who do not have tickets will not be able to gain access to the outer perimeter of the stadium. This will be done for ease of passage for ticket holders. In the interest of public safety and security, only fans with tickets are urged to arrive early at the stadium. Gates open at 12:00, ” a statement read on their website.
