Chipolopolo midfielder Enock Mwepu has expressed confidence that the spread of the coronavirus can be slowed down if everyone joins in the fight.
In a short video, The FC Red Bull Salzburg man urged everyone back home in Zambia to practice high standards of hygiene so as to slow the spread of Covid-19.
Zambia has now recorded 29 cases of the coronavirus according to the Ministry of Health update with no deaths recorded yet.
“I just want to encourage everyone back home to stay safe, calm and healthy,” Mwepu said.
“It is up to us to participate in this fight against the pandemic that will help slow down the spread of this virus.
“By doing so we just have to practice social distancing, regular washing of our hands (with soap) and avoid social gatherings.
“With this short message, I just hope everyone stays safe and healthy,” he added.
Mwepu is currently at his base in AUSTRIA where 8,788 cases were reported as of Monday morning with a total of 86 deaths.
