Ex-Chipolopolo coach Sven Vandenbroeck has asked FIFA to sanction Zambia for failure to pay him his dues amounting to USD $22,500.
Vandenbroeck who is currently coach of Tanzanian club Simba SC, has written the World Football governing body requesting that Zambia be docked three points from the African Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
According to the Zambia Daily Mail Publication, Sven says the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) owes him USD $22,500 which was due to be paid by the end of March, 2020.
The Belgian is quoted by the Newspaper Publication confirming that he has requested FIFA to impose sanctions on Zambia.
“I won the case against FAZ at FIFA on February 20 and they were supposed to pay me within 30 days, but no payment has been done now,” Sven said.
“And because they did not pay within 30 days after the judgement, we wrote to FIFA to take three points off Zambia in the AFCON qualifiers.”
The Football Association of Zambia sacked Vandenbroeck in February 2019 after the Chipolopolo failed to qualify for the 2019 Africa of Nations.
