Pitso Mosimane remains unbeaten as manager of Al Ahly after the Egyptian Premier League champions ended the season with a 3-0 victory over El Geish on Saturday night.
Mosimane rang the changes from the thumping win over Wydad Casablanca, with Ayman Ashraf, Ahmed Fathy and Aliou Dieng the only three players retaining their spots.
Walid Soliman gave the Red Devils a head start with the opener in the fourth minute, netting from close range at the near post goalkeeper after Mohamed Bassam had blocked his initial shot.
Geraldo doubled the lead for the visitors in the 18th minute with a chip over Bassam after latching onto a through ball by Aliou Badji from a quick counter-attack.
Kahraba got the thid goal for Mosimane’s charges nine minutes before halftime with a into the bottom against the run of play, as the hosts had no answers for Al Ahly.
El Geish offered better resistance in the early exchanges of the second stanza and created a couple openings, but they were yet to trouble Al Ahly goalkeeper Ali Lofti.
Mosimane opted for a re-shuffle in the last 20 minutes as he made a double change, with Ahmed El Sheikh coming on for Geraldo and Saleh Gomaa replacing Badji.
Nevertheless, Al Ahly were already home and dry in the closing stages and settled for a 3-0 win in the final league encounter of the campaign.
