The Elephants and the Barea of Madagascar neutralized each other to a 1-1 draw for the 4th day of the qualifiers for the AFCON Cameroon 2021 played on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 on Malagasy soil.
In the first leg in Abidjan, on November 12, The Elephants beat the Barea of Madagascar 2-1.
Ivory Coast went ahead in the first period thanks to Kessié Franck who opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 15th minute after a handball incident in the box.
Madagascar equalized through Ibrahim Samuel Amada in the 51st minute beating the Ivorian goalkeeper, Gbohouo Sylvain.
It was an absolute stunner hit hard from long range leaving the keeper with no chance of stopping the shot.
With this draw (1-1), Ivorians and Malagasy remain co-leaders in group K with 7 points.
