The Chipolopolo boys have shifted base to Douala as they intensify preparations for the Cameroon 2020 African Nations Championship (moved to 2021) that kicks off on January 16.
Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic’s charges got down to business after having travelled from Yaoundé on Saturday where they participated in the Four Nations Invitational Tournament that ended on Thursday.
The team had a late afternoon session on the outskirts of Douala at the KSA Sports Academy.
Micho’s charges have been boosted by the arrival of four more players in Kelvin Kampamba (Zesco United), Luka Banda (Napsa Stars), Pride Mwansa (Nkwazi) and Harrison Chisala (Nkana).
The squad is stationed in Doula before heading to Limbe where Group D will be stationed.
Zambia commences its campaign in January 19 with a tie against Tanzania before facing Guinea four days later.
The final group game will be against Namibia on January 27, 2021.
Zambia has been holed in Cameroon from December 31, 2020 as part of preparations for the CHAN.
The team drew 3-3 with Niger before losing 2-0 to Uganda and wound up their pre-CHAN tournament with a 2-0 win over Cameroon.
