The Confederation of African Football CAF has announced Veron Mosengo Omba as the new Secretary General of continent’s football governing body with effect from today.
The FIFA Chief Member Associations Officer was appointed at a CAF Executive Committee meeting held today morning, 13 March 2021 in Rabat Morocco.
Mr. Mosengo Omba takes over from Mr. Abdelmounain Bah, who had occupied the role on an acting capacity.
Newly elected CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe has since thanked Mr. Bah for the contribution made to CAF.
Meanwhile, the CAF Executive Committee has also appointed Mr. Seidou Mbombo Njoya as Fourth Vice President. Mr. Njoya is the President of the Cameroon Football Federation and was also yesterday elected to the CAF Executive Committee.
